Operation Oliver: Veterans Changing Baltimore through Art and Service

Operation Oliver is a long term community service initiative in East Baltimore’s Oliver neighborhood, an area known for vacant homes, poverty, and crime. Through strategic partnerships, the 6th Branch (the6thbranch.org) is creating a “Veteran Sponsored Community,” using the veteran skillset to revitialize communities here at home.

Veteran Artist Program (veteranartistprogram.org) is one of the lead organizers for “Operation: Oliver”.

This project really shows how you can really take the idea of selfless service, and change an entire community for the better.
